Received a "Failed to File the Directions Questionnaire" despite sending email.
Hi all
Please can you help?
I followed instructions and sent my directions questionnaire in May this year but I've received a letter last week stating that I have not sent the directions questionnaire.
I have both the email I sent to the email address specified in the email and I also have the auto response back from them. I sent it to DQ.CNBC@justive.gov.uk
I put the subject line as "Claim number [my actual claim number] - DQ" and I attached the DQ as a PDF.
What should I do next?
Thanks

Email ClaimResponses.CNBC@justice.gov.uk and DQ.CNBC@justice.gov.uk (I assume justive was a typo), use the following subject line: "UNPROCESSED DOCUMENTS - URGENT", attached your DQ PDF again (no scans, original typed PDF) and include the proof of original receipt text.

Thank you. (And yes, it was a typo.)
Fingers crossed, it works this time. I got an automated response from both email addresses.

It happens sometimes. Overworked / understaffed / incompetent - take your pick!

As long as you used the downloaded pdf document from the government website, filled it in and emailed it to the dq email address, its fine ( but no scans, no pictures, no paperwork. )
Seems to be a few of these recently, probably due to holidays or staff shortages, its definitely a weak spot there
Just email it again to the DQ email address, headed URGENT, UNPROCESSED DOCUMENTS, add the claim reference number as well
Do the same in the body, also adding the date that it was originally sent and attach a copy or screenshot of the original auto response email too, as well as the completed N180 DQ pdf document
Then check for the 2nd auto response email back
Edit your typo above too, for clarity

You didn't send scans of pages, we hope?

Hi rather than start a new thread, I thought this similar enough to what I've received.......a letter about documents not on the court file.….
General Directions Order
Before District X sitting at the Civil National Business Centre, Northampton
UPON the court noting that:
Documents referred to in the order below were filed by one of the parties, but those documents are not on the court file
The court has undertaken a search, but the documents have not been found
The claim cannot progress until the court file is complete
A notice of transfer (to another county court) has been issued
It is ordered that:
By 4pm on 06 August 2026 the Defendant must send to the court named on the attached Notice of Transfer a copy of the Directions Questionnaire.
Like the author I had sent in my DQ to the DQ justice email and received a receipt from it. I also sent it to the claimants given email. They appear to acknowledge I sent it, but that the document is missing.....how have they lost it?!
I filled in the DQ with my hand writing and scanned and sent as a PDF.......I note answers above.....is there a problem with this? - there hasn't been before - everything was very clear.
It is being allocated to court and once received (and hopefully processed!?!) a judge will "give case management directions" and their decision will be sent in a "notice of allocation".
I appreciate the answers above, and any specific advice.…is this something that is happening more since the overhaul of the system, mediation required, etc?

"
The document is missing.....how have they lost it?!"Because it was a scan. You can't do that.
Your case is different from the OP because this Order is from your local court.
Download a fresh copy and fill it in electronically, save it as a PDF and send it to the local court. No photos or scans.
