This is an old problem and one most dealers have disclaimers against. Since most basic information is generated by the Reg number the databases such as the DVLA can and are wrong quite often.

Especially if previous owner had a private plate. Mine at dealer was still showing as my previous HEV in the wrong colour, rather than a EV.

Goods to be as described is liability that can not be excluded, I don’t think their disclaimer cuts the mustard.

Indeed. When sticking my reg into lots of sites, it comes back as manual when it is automatic. DVLA do have it as automatic in the V5 though so I don’t know where the error has come from.
