Composite door threshold, lowered threshold seal replacement at bottom

Greetings.

For a while the door is about 15 years old, the threshold, which was lowered at my request, the rubber seal is falling apart—I've tried to glue it a few times becuse I cannot determine the shape and size required by looking on the net - I'm not even sure if it is push fit as too scared to pull it away - its the supermarket del drivers at times put baskets on the sill.

The rubbers cost anyhting between 10 quid (inc. delivery) and 50 quid and loads of them out there—the people who installed the door went out of business about 2 years ago.

Would be worth seeing if you have a window/door doctor in your area. Rubber seals are fairly easy to replace, but as you have found, there are a bewildering array of sizes & profiles. A w/d doc. might have the right profile in stock or at least know where to source it.

As for the supermarket deliveries - I have a portable "bench" that I put outside the door for the crates to be put on. Saves bending down to get the groceries. For you, it would also eliminate damage to the door seals.

Thanks - I will, if i go to wickes/b&q see what they have consider it or as i drive around, I'll see window/door installers ask them, bu it looks like what you said may be the way forward - atm its stuck glued back on the few inches that was moving so ok and no water getting in, Thanks!
