DCBL Notice of debt recovery

Hi all

I have received a letter from DCBL "Notice of debt recovery - unpaid parking charge £125.00. The charge they're chasing is from 2023 for Horizon Parking Ltd. I haven't received a pcn through the post which I'm thinking is because it has been sent to an old address so this is the first letter I have received.

I will be taking the letter to the store manager of where the supposed contravention happened to ask them to cancel and I also have proof that I was at the store that day.

I have previous experience of dealing with these chancers as I have attended court in the past and won, but after reading some forums I'm seeing that things may have changed slightly.

What would the first steps be in response to the letter.

Thanks in advance, it was alot of people from this website that helped before and it was fully appreciated.

You ignore debt collectors letters, no response, see post 4 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad

Definitely complain about it to the landowner or similar

Get your V5c log book out and check that the details are correct and up to date, because paperwork going to an old address is usually human error by the Registered Keeper
