Morning, thanks Gers.
1st of July, how the weeks slip away.
It's a fine start with a little breeze, quite pleasant.
We have no particular plans for today. I started tidying my wardrobe yesterday, and seem to have an awful lot of coat hangers, I might ask dd if they need any.
Hope everyone is all right, thoughts to anyone who is sad or lonely, or feeling poorly, take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. I have stopped believing the forecasts so whatever happens today will happen!. Yesterday's forecast of rain and thunderstorms never transpired but we did get a bit of mizzly stuff in the evening.
Currently the sun is shining and it feels lovely. I watered the pots at the front yesterday so today is the turn of the back ones. I never bothered with any bedding plants this year so it's just the perennials that i have out there. I have also got an unplanned for job to do! I have been donated a couple of garden chairs and glass topped table (to replace my garden seat which has seen better days) but the glass top of the table needs a bit of elbow grease! Apparently a saw was left on it all through the winter and it has suffered a long rust mark. So I will attack that with a bicarb mix and see if that helps shift it. Apparently normal washing hasn't helped.
Other than that no fixed plans, unless a good offer comes along. There is also the new months banking to do. Why is it that the winter months last forever yet the summer months are whizzing along at speed. It doesn't feel two minutes since I was doing the June ones.
Have a lovely day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) where needed. Take care all xx

Morning all
July already! Looks to be a nicer day today with more sun. It was cloudy all day yesterday and then the sun eventually made an appearance around 5pm
Not much planned for today. Will put breadmaker on in a mo then water the garden and my hairdresser is coming to give me a trim around mid-morning. Out in the garden with my book this afternoon methinks.
Oh and an early tea is on the cards as football kickoff is at 5pm. Come on England!!
Have a good day everyone x

Hello again. We have another flood alert for today with horrendous rain forecasted for this afternoon. Like @TravellingAbuela I have lost faith in projections. Look outside and guess seems just as good.
My attempt to fuel my car was foiled by the huge queues at the local garage - the price had come down by 5p. I decided to not bother, will go back today or tomorrow instead.
Later on I decided to book a session of gait analysis, I really need to find out if my bad mobility can be sorted out. Surgeons have said the 'new' hip is fine so it's probably scar tissue which I'm not sure of. The gait analysis is an investigation of how I walk and why, a biomechanical view. After that if it's not ever going to improve I can accept it. The clinic is part of the hospital doing my kidney op so I tried to book the session on the same day as my pre-op, the times didn't work so I've got it for the next morning. My overnight stay with Alan is also booked, the nearest hotel (PI) was £120 for one night so that's not happening.
Today is booked for financial stuff, again. Mostly the monthly spreadsheet before more phoning round to get figures. A lovely agent from Yorkshire Building Society talked me through finding the info for them on their website, I wish more would do that.
Take care all. Lovely to read about your little one @dp1 I long gave up on bedding plants @TravellingAbuela, now my garden is slowly being overtaken by the big tall daisies, I rather like the wild random look.

Morning everyone - Happy July
We actually had rain yesterday - torrential for about half an hour and within minutes bright sunshine and the garden didn’t even look wet!
This morning the patio is covered in debris which some kind birds must have turfed out of our gutters! And two (male) ducks are sitting in pots of bedding plants! There’ll be the usual chores and stuff to do today plus a hospital appt for DM. Fortunately DF took her to yesterday’s so that enabled me to do some cleaning and make cakes.
Hope everyone has a good day

morning everyone thanks for the start Gers I’ve had a bit of good news but I’ve also got a bit of a problem I got an email last night from the cruise I went on because we never got to Norway well we did but it was just on the North Sea and back they have offered me 50 % of the money back or a free cruise next year in may the only problem is I have promised my friend I will look after her dog on the weekend we are away as she is going to a wedding overnight my hubby said we can’t turn a free cruise down when she’s got a full year to find someone else to look for someone to look after the dog we have looked after her for years and I’ve never let her down we have her every new year for a week every bank holiday weekend and a couple of weeks a year when they go on holiday I’ve hardly slept thinking about it I feel so guilty because I know she will not be happy I’m trying to convince myself I’m right . Must dash I’m off to do a cleaning job I’m guilty of just quickly coming on here to offload my problems to you . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Good morning
Bright and sunny here, happy July to all. I'm another one who doesn't know where this year has gone.
Yesterday's trip to the eye clinic was good, the eye has settled down so I have been discharged. So pleased as it's a bit of a trek to get there, and DH has to take me because of the eye drops. On the way back I popped into Aldee so we are topped up.
Last night we had southern fried chicken with coleslaw, quick and easy when we got in. Tonight maybe pork chops, will see what OH wants.
@IzzyBee I agree with your hubby, there's plenty of time for your friend to find someone else to look after her dog, don't turn down a free holiday.
@AlwaysAllie thinking of your DM, sending love and hugs.
Have a good day all, take care.

IZZY she wouldn't be much of a friend if she wasn't happy for you getting a free holiday. Considering you have looked after the dog so often over the years and never let her down I don't think you should be beating yourself up about this x

Morning everyone
The sun is shining here though there are showers forecast for later - yesterday the showers were torrential downpours! I have washing in the machine so hopefully will get it dry.
I have little foster baby here for the day as DD is on a training course about an hours drive away. I have shopping to do this morning then I'll take him down to see mam and dad this afternoon, mam loves to see him.
Izzy definitely go on the free cruise! It's not like it's next week, your friend has almost a year to make other arrangements.
Remmie glad to hear all is good with your eye x
Hope everyone has a good day today, I'm going to put little boy down on his mat for a roll around before we go out…I make him sound like a puppy!

Morning all
It’s back to bright sunshine after yesterdays rain in the morning, we went strawberry picking and they were on a bogof for a big punnet so I now have many strawberries 😬 and two small punnets of raspberries we had some last night and they were delicious and sweet, I’m going to make an Eaton mess today and we will eat more over the next few days any left by Friday will be turned into jam.
I’m off to mums for a couple of hours today I will cook for her and have a general tidy, she has friends coming tomorrow so I will make sure the place is decent.
Dinner tonight will be an omelette with tomato salad and bread and butter. I also need to continue on with my click and collect order for tomorrow.
Izzy I’m sure your friend will understand, you can’t turn down a free cruise and as you said you have looked after her dog for years and never let her down xx
Have good days all and take care xx
