Benefits appointee timescale
Hi, can anyone give me a rough idea how long an application to become a benefits appointee takes?
It would be for state pension only.

It may quicker if you are a family member but a corporate appointee service I am familiar with says it’s taking the DWP 12 weeks plus to get things in place once the appointee paperwork is sent over to them (person has already been assessed to lack capacity before the referral goes in)
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have not could of.0 -

The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0
