Missed appeal deadline APCOA for airport PCN

The driver of my vehicle forgot to pay the fee at the rapid drop off area at East Midlands airport. I had the PCN through the post however it got misplaced and now I have missed the 28 day appeals deadline (by around 14 days). I can no longer appeal through their portal.

Is it still possible to send over the template to them to some email? Or is it likely they will reject any kind of appeal now the deadline has passed?
