Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x Glad you got your financials sorted and the snake belt sounds fab.
DH and I are going to look at wardrobe options for our bedroom today then a visit to a locally owned Manor House which opens its gardens and tearoom a few times a year. Weather is a bit cloudy but I’m not complaining!Sorry to hear about your friend @mehefin x The gig sounded fab - I think all known bands charge a fortune these days.
Sorry your friend is still waiting on her results @TravellingAbuela thats awful xWell done @camelot1001 for refusing the work meeting during your non-working weeks. The cheek of it. I hope something can be worked out 🤞🏻
Have a good day everyoneCoxy

Morning all
Cooler and cloudy today. Just looked out and it's raining, that wasn't on the cards but the garden will enjoy it!
Had a chap round yesterday to check what needs doing re new floor and he told me that they will have to replace all the skirting boards after taking them up to do the floor and paint the bottom half of the walls, which is handy has we have 2 different colours top and bottom and we repainted the bottom one a few months ago and never really liked the deepness of the colour so we'll choose a lighter colour. Double glazing going in in 2 weeks and then we'll get a week's reprieve and then they should be coming to do the floor then. I'll need another holiday after all that!
Glad the party went well Scarlet, hope everyone has a good day all x

Morning all, thanks @Gers.
We didn't have any rain yesterday and it was pleasantly warm with a light breeze so my washing was dried, folded and put away in record time. I had a short walk out and passed our local community hub where they were having their Monday Lunch Lounge (light lunch on a pay-as-you feel or can basis). They also have free short-dated bread products and sandwiches on offer; I didn't want a lunch but did come home with half a dozen bagels and a large part baked baguette that are now taking up the little bit of space that I've made in the freezer. It seems a popular place with lots of different free/low cost events throughout the week, I shall have to investigate further!
This morning it's a bit on the cloudy side and still mild but there's a good chance of rain later on - typical, as it's hairdresser day. If it's not raining after I've been coiffured, I'll pop into town for a jar of Boots' (excellent) foot cream. I could have it delivered but the postage would almost double the cost so a bus trip with my pass seems the more MSE option. 😁 Nothing else exciting happening but at least the daily chores are back on track now the temperatures are normal. Dinner tonight is tuna & mushroom pasta.
@mehefin - Nice to 'see' you again, I'm so sorry to hear of your friend's passing.
@remmie - I hope your eye appointment today goes well.
Coffee break done with, so I'll wish everyone a good day, hugs where needed. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
Morning all, just sat with a much needed coffee after a decent walk with Ldog earlier. He spotted the park keeper and made a beeline for him, then sat expectantly waiting for a treat. Must cost the chap a bomb as he gives them out to any passing dogs who want one 😊Then I watered both front and back gardens. I have the house to myself today.
Sorry about your friend @mehefin .
@remmie hope your appointment goes well.
My brothers had snake belts @Gers , takes me back. Congrats on your weight loss.
I've been collecting stuff for a charity bag that’s going out for collection tomorrow & just seen they take bric a brac so might have another look round.
Have a good day all.

A late hello
Early blood test appt for DM then I went straight out to don some gardening and walk Bdog and didn’t get to posting.
Thanks for all your well wishes yesterday - it is stressful and as @TravellingAbuela rightly said, I feel like we lurch from one appt and scan to another. Anyway radiotherapy ‘planning’ appt this afternoon so will see what they say.Take care all

Hi everyone,
We are still on wait and watch for the baby. Crystal now has a C section booked on Monday, which is the due date but is hoping to escape that if possible. I too am hoping the baby comes this week because Laura and Esther are coming on Sunday night for a couple of nights, it's for a conference Laura booked before we knew Crystal was pregnant and typically they now look as if they will coincide. It's ok because we can just split up and one have Esther and the other Nate (who will be at nursery during the day anyway) but it's just an added complication.
We had a lovely day on Sunday for Chris' 40th we went for a picnic to Anglesey Abbey together with some members of Crystal's family. It had cooled down enough to be very pleasant and very easy because everyone brought their own picnics. I took a cake from M&S, I'd had to buy a big one which was just as well because one of Crystal's sisters came unexpectedly with her two children so there were 12 of us.
I am slowly doing bits and pieces round the house, yesterday I ironed all my linen trousers and skirts (I wear them all then wash and iron them rather than doing them in dribs and drabs).
Mehefin, 10cc it sounds great. We went to see the Eagles in 1977 (I was 19) just before they broke up and said they'd play together again when Hell froze over. We went again in 1996 to their Hell freezes over tour. I looked around the audience and thought that everyone looked so old.
Enjoy Monmouth, I'm trying not to add to my stash, I have too much fabric.
Have a good day
