What do people think of Interactive Investor (ii) platform

I use ii for my SIPP, but moved my ISA away from them as they always want their fees from GIA and ISA first and then only SIPP as a last resort. They questioned why I closed my ISA, and I told them I wanted fees taken from SIPP only. They never responded to that,

Yep, despite having no DD in place for fees, forcing them to use the SIPP cash balance, last month they unexpectedly used my debit card. Probably reverse engineering Payit when you pay money in…

I thought I had read somewhere that where multiple products are involved in cannot take the fee from the SIPP because it would count as an unauthorised payment.
It is irritating that when you only have a SIPP you can't set up payments from inside the SIPP, but at the end of the day it's an extra £35 or so. I've saved far more than that in fees since moving to ii.

Yes I think there was a discussion about this a while back - if you only have a SIPP and nothing else, then the charges apply to only the SIPP and so they can be deducted from tax free money.
However if you have multiple products, and the charges are covering all the products, they have to take the charges from you directly.

I agree about the website - could do with a major overhaul

I was recently thinking of moving my HL SIPP to AJ Bell, but then looking at ii could save a little more (although lose out in their interest rates).
Is the ii platform easy to use for trading?

I haven't found any problems. If you are buyingsomething where you already have a holding (or want to sell something you hold) you can do it directly from your portfolio list.
If you want something new, you use the searh facility, and on the buy / sell page make sure you have chosen the account you want to buy / sell from (ISA, GIA, SIPP)

Is opening a ii SIPP and transfering in an existing (dormant) pension sufficient to qualify for the £200 cashback which ii are currently offering?

Have a look at the T&Cs, but I did exactly that a couple of years ago and qualified for the cashback.

I thought that it might qualify.
Let's hope my transfer in completes within the deadline.
