YourParkingSpace / Phoenix Parking PCN

Hi everyone,

I have received a PCN after parking in West Bromwich, the PCN is issued by EuroParkingServices but there were several parking locations there and I parked on one managed by Phoenix Parking. I had paid to park with YourParkingSpace at a location called Benefits Agency, 416 High Street West Bromwich. According to the PCN, it seems I have parked at a neighbourly address, also managed by Phoenix Parking, but apparently 410 High Street. However, I have done so because all the information provided by YourParkingSpace points to the wrong location:

- the address 408 High Street is the building in between the two parking entrances, so could indicate any of them

- the photo on YourParkingSpace website and the street view link clearly indicate the entrance by Dunya Supermarket, which is the entrance I used

- the pin YourParkingSpace on Google Maps with the 408 High Street points to a completely different spot (by Shaftesbury Casino) and also includes the Dunya Supermarket photo

- the location I parked at is also managed by Phoenix Parking

- none of the parking addresses have a YourParkingSpace badge to indicate which one is the correct one. 

I have e-mailed YourParkingSpace but they have closed the case saying that the PCN is right because I parked at the wrong location. I can't appeal it directly with Phoenix Parking (owner / manager of both locations it seems) as their phone number is disconnected, website is down, and there is no e-mail address. What else do I do? Do I appeal it with EuroParkingServices (but from their perspective yes, I did park on their land without paying)? Do I go elsewhere? Help! at the moment I still have 10 days of a lower £60 fine appeal window.

Just ignore the "mug's discount" as you won't be paying anything. Wait for a letter before/of claim and then a N1SDT claim form - court is where you win, if it gets that far. Make sure that your address is up-to-date on your V5C (log book) and that whoever the parking company actually is, has your correct address for service. You don't want paperwork, especially a claim form, going to the wrong address.

For now, can you pay for a session in the correct place using an app sitting at home? If so, do that and take a screenshot. Then at least you nullify their argument of not paying.

Yes, but if the situation is as you describe they will be raking it in by issuing PCNs. They're not sitting there upset that nobody is paying. They're sitting there thinking "this site is generating a lot of PCNs! Great!"

Not only increasing the potential scam monies for the ppc but also for the DVLA who sell motorists private data to the scammers (Hansard) with no checks whatsoever.

dont bother appealing with EPS it will get declined, do nothing for now

I agree. Ignore it and the £170 threatograms shown in post 4 of the NEWBIES thread.
