Bread Slicer - Lidl
Just returned from our annual trip to France. Every Lidl there has a bread slicer operated by the customer. Why can't they introduce them here? I suppose H & S reasons.
I buy 3 loaves of the Low GI Multigrain a week (I am sure it has got smaller again) and I am rubbish at slicing bread.
I will write to Lidl customer services and ask.
Also, this year, there were signs in English on how to use the Lidl app.

Yes, I also saw all of these across Europe. I could hazard a guess, but will leave it for those who perhaps know for sure.

Sainsbobs has them here. Tesco will take your loaf and slice it.

Maybe the OP doesn't buy bread in the other stores mentioned but Lidl does have some of the loaves sliced on the shelf where the other breads are, though I don't know which ones.
They even have the customer slicing machines in Bulgaria.

I'm unconvinced such conveniences are hygenic.
I have plenty of knives at home and am not afraid to use them.

But can you cut a whole loaf to precisely 10mm per slice ?

I saw that for the first time ever in Sainsbury's on Saturday.
Tesco used to slice the bread for you but stopped that altogether.
