MorningAfternoon all (it was morning when I started), thanks @Gers. Glad your meet-up went OK, shame about the food offerings.Sunny intervals today and much more comfortable than of late although there are rumblings the heatwave could be back after the weekend. If so, we may be better prepared this time around! 😳
Yesterday was a lazy day but three things did leave the house - hairdryer (broken), old dustpan and brush (I have another one) and half a dozen plastic coat hangers. DS has taken his two bin bags of donations to the CS and has also recycled an empty body spray aerosol. As for me, it will be back to the usual housework stuff now the heat has calmed down. I'm waiting for a whites wash to finish and this afternoon will give the kitchen worktops a proper clean (as opposed to just wiping around things). Tonight's dinner is the last two chorizo sausages from the freezer, bacon, hash browns and mixed veg. For afters there are cream caramels that I made yesterday. All in all, just a normal day.
@camelot - Enjoy your break, it sounds as if you need one. I'm sorry your work situation isn't clear cut yet and hope there is better news for you after the holidays.
@AA - I hope your mum's new treatment/medication makes life a little easier for her and you, it's understandable to feel unsettled at times like this.
@remmie - Well done on sorting out the under sink cupboard. It's always a mystery how junk accumulates!
@TA - I knew you wouldn't get those jobs done once kitty arrived!
@Ruby - Thank goodness your ear problem seems to be getting better, long may it continue.
@dp1 - I can relate to how you must be feeling about your mam and dad's situation. Hugs.
WM has now finished so I'll get things hung out and have a think about what to have for lunch. Take care all xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.9
