Morning All
Overcast here this morning but dry for now. I'm going to Northumberland for a few days this morning - a very welcome break.
I have my cousin and her DH here, cousin has been a pain in the neck to be quite honest. She is lovely but she's quite demanding and has her DH running around after her, sadly I'm not doing the same. Anyway, I am dropping them off in Glasgow today so they are staying there and getting the train home tomorrow.
Thanks for asking Ruby, the meeting was ok but I think I'm going to be forced into reducing my hours and/or moving schools. I've had a chance to think so will go back to them with a proposal once I'm back from my break. When it comes down to it they are just cost cutting so I will put up a fight. I've only 2 and a half years to go until I can get my state pension so will do what I can to continue the hours and location I have. They want a meeting in July - it's my holidays so I have told them they will have to wait until August as they didn't make a decision on Friday.
I had the little one on Saturday night who cheered me up, will have her back here again on Thursday.
Hope your DH had a lovely birthday and the party went well Scarlet.
Take care. XX

Morning all
I’ve been AWOL but reading along most days.
I didn’t much enjoy the got weather and looks like there might be more to come,DM’s scan results weren’t great so along with yet another blood transfusion she’s booked in for more radiotherapy and a change of medication as the ones she’s been on for 3 years have stopped working. I feel like I’m constantly on edge and can’t relax. Hopefully after a couple of hospital appts this week, things will be a bit more settled.
For today’s there is nothing planned so I’ll do some chores and maybe some craft stuff.
Hope everyone has a good weekAA

Good morning
Sunny here, but forecast to cloud over later. Yesterday we had a couple of showers in the morning only lasting about 10 minutes, not enough to wet the ground.
I got the bedding changed early yesterday (my most hated job, although I love chean sheets), then in the afternoon I sorted out what was going back into the cupboard under the sink, everything had been living in boxes. Needless to say not everything got put back, how did I get so much junk under there?
I cooked a gammon joint yesterday in my pressure cooker, only takes 25 minutes and doesn't dry out, so that'll be for tonight, with egg and chips for DH and salad for me. I haven't eaten bread for a week now, except for a roll Saturday night, and am starting to feel better for it.
Camelot, enjoy your break away, you deserve it. I hope things work out in your favour with you job.
Have a good day all, take care.

Back, coffee by my side and the table lamp on. Yes, it's dull here, the early morning rain has just stopped.
The dreaded lunch with an acquaintance was OK, the food was nothing special, in fact the 'specials board' offered beefburgers or chicken wings. 😣 We both plumped for the cauliflower and cheese soup which was tasty enough.
Today will be spent doing financial stuff.
@AlwaysAllie - sorry to read about your DM, my fingers are crossed the she responds to the new meds. @camelot1001 - enjoy Northumberland, it's so lovely. @IzzyBee - your wee dug will love the haircut.
Thinking of our poorlies and our missing. xx

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Despite the drop in temps the house felt stifling hot this morning. But that wouldn't be helped by having to keep all windows and doors firmly shut yesterday while I was cat minding! They are all wide open this morning and it's feeling less stuffy already and I can feel a bit of a breeze blowing in.
The cat minding went well but I had forgotten how exhausting it is looking after young animals! She 'wasn't a bit timid and made herself at home straight away. Into everything and never still. DS didn't know her breed but she looked like a Russian Blue to me.
So yesterday's plan of attacking all the jobs which didn't get done in the heatwave didn't happen so still await me today. I reckon kitchen and bathroom will be top of the list.
Allie I'm sorry to read your worries about your DM. I know what it's like living with someone with a C diagnosis, it's like living with a timebomb between each appointment or scan. Always hoping for the best but fearing the worst.
CAMELOT I'm sorry to hear you are being messed about as far as your job goes. But good for you standing your ground and not being pushed into an appointment that doesn't suit you .Fingers crossed it all ends in your favour.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all, be safe x

Morning all
It’s a nice day here and much cooler than it has been, last night in the garden I had to put a jumper on, I can’t believe the change in a few days.
I’m off to mums this morning to do some work and cook her a couple of dinners, I will fill her meds boxes too and get her washing done and on the line.
I’m not sure about dinner tonight I will go and look in the freezer after this, there is always something with chips for an easy meal. I have washing to hang out as well.
Camelot I’m glad you are ok, and I hope you manage to get a result in your favour xx
AA sending good wishes to your mum xx
My ear problem is getting less and less, I’m not sure if it’s the nasal spray, music therapy or antihistamine that’s workimg but I will keep up with them all for a while, the fluttering is much reduced and I can go a few hours with nothing at all, so fingers crossed it’s putting itself right 🤞
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning everyone
The sun is shining here but it's to be a bit cooler today, with showers forecast for the rest of the week.
I had both children on Friday and Saturday nights, we went to a birthday party on Saturday afternoon for one of little ones' friends and then down to the park for the rest of the afternoon. Little one had a play in the splash park too, but not for long as it was spoilt by some bigger boys …yes their parents were there! She spent lots of time playing at the front of my house too, there's a group of about 8 kids all play together on bikes and scooters and she loves joining in.
I was down visiting mam and dad yesterday, dad was worried about his money, it took a while to get him to accept that it's still in the bank, he thought it had all been taken off him. Mam was ok most of the time, still asking me to buy her a kettle, but she didn't cry until I was going to leave, so that was good. My brother who lives at Newcastle is going to visit them tomorrow, which they'll enjoy. My oldest brother who lives a few minutes drive from the care home hasn't been for several weeks now, since dad shouted at him.
Right, enough waffling I need to dust and hoover this morning before work. I hope everyone has a good day, hope you manage to get work sorted in your favour Camelot x

Morning all, thanks Gers. Still windy here and mainly cloudy.Thankful the temp has dropped though.
Camelot, enjoy your break, and hope the meeting goes favourably. Allie, sorry you're having worries about your DM.
Not much to say really. We drove over to DBs to take S-i-Ls card and present for her birthday . Ended up staying longer than we planned really but it was nice to catch up with them. We passed DGS on the way, he was on his bike with 2 pals riding to the football pitch, where else 😀
I have got some Italian meatballs from the butchers out for tea, easy enough with a crusty baguette.
Take care everyone 🖐️

The strong winds we had yesterday have calmed down a bit and it's a lot fresher this morning
Waiting on a visit some time this morning from the company who will be replacing our flooring. Done some housework which has been neglected during our holiday and last week's awful hot temperatures.
Sorry to hear about your mum Allie and your job Camelot hope both problems become clearer soon x
Apart from that nothing planned today except a little bit of gardening once my visitor has been and gone.
Take care all x
