I hope you are aware that a small claims court district judge can basically rule as they see fit and there is no guarantee that you will receive the outcome you want and there is nothing much you can do about it.

Don't be surprised if as soon as you mention going legal KRCS stop engaging altogether

You have no proof that Apple accepted the order

KRCS are not likely to give you the order number with Apple unless they are very stupid

Dell do this all the time. You can get a quote that is valid for 14 days but you can go back next day and they will say sorry sold out.

Dell recently sold me a PSU for a server took my money and provided a delivery date and 10 days later cancelled the order as they had no stock

The practical approach is for OP to sue for the £400 difference in price. That places the retailer in some difficulty, as it will likely cost them far more than £400 to defend the case. So, they may just settle the case.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    An update from KRCS

The director sent me a long email saying that Apple don't accept cancellations anymore, and after long discussions with distributors, they agreed not to cancel my order and honour the initial price.

This is great news for me. The only downside is that there are further delays of my order. Due to this disruptive situation, the wait for my order has been extended. No date provided yet.

    I appreciate all your advice.

    Thank you.
