should I go through an appeal with POPLA number ?
hi, I'm a newbie, so sorry if I'm asking stupid questions, basically I missed paying the drop off fee at Stanstead airport (did go onto payment site , but obviously didn't complete payment, so obviously my fault), I received a APCOA parking fine, appealed on basis of first time offended, In the appeal I didn't state i was driving (as I wasn't) but did use the work I several times when stating that I tried to pay etc.
My appeal was rejected ,i have a POPLA number, my question is should I take it further to them with the argument of not being the driver or is it a pointless exercise.
I am one of those annoying people that is ' a rule' follower , so would stress out every time a letter came through the letterbox claiming I owe even more money. I have spent a lot of time reading all previous threads , but still at a loss as to what to do.
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Just bung in a POPLA appeal stating this is non-POFA and the driver has not been identified. The appellant was an occupant of the car but cannot be held liable as keeper, as Airports are not 'relevant land'.

the POPLA appeal form now states
I was not the driver or the registered keeper of the vehicle at the time of the alleged improper parking.,
I am the registered keeper , but was not driving , would the appeal still hold up?

Is that one of the options that POPLA gives you to tick? Just tick ‘Other’ - as per NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, post number THREE, which guides you in the context of appealing to POPLA.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

But it hasn't changed in years.
Obviously you don't choose that option!
Post 3 of the NEWBIES thread explains POPLA.
