EDF Sunday Saver free electricity tomorrow (Saturday)?

Has anyone else received a text message from EDF this afternoon telling them they have free electicity tomorrow?

The message is in the same format as the usual Sunday Saver message, but I thought the whole idea was to qualify for free electricity on Sundays.

I've tried calling them but lost the will to live after being on hold for too long and their WhatsApp messaging service isn't real time.

Just to add, I haven't signed up for the EDF free electricity during world cup matches, so the message shouldn't relate to this promotion.

Just received another text message advising that the original message was sent in error!!!

And that I should receive the usual reminder tomorrow. Time will tell.

EDF are offering free electricity during the England and Scotland World Cup matches. It is a different scheme from the Sunday Saver, you don't have to save anything to get it. I received an invitation email but I gather you can sign up on their website. Most of the matches are at silly hours so my own savings will be pretty small. And for what it is worth I have absolutely no interest in football, someone told me it was England playing tomorrow…

Me too.
I will be very pleased when the whole world cup circus is over and normal services are resumed on the TV.
But then again, we will have wall to wall Wimbledon to look forward to (not) over the next two weeks 😡
