Revolut 5% Instant Saver - unable to access

Just alerting MSE and others that after signing up to a Revolut account to access the 5% rate advertised on MSE and on their page, I was given 2.9% and customer support said that was the rate and didn't seem to understand why the 5% wasn't available. I gave up and closed the account!

Maybe you didn't meet their criteria (below from a similar thread on this forum):

"I completely understand why this is frustrating. It is definitely disappointing to receive an email with an exciting offer only to find out that you are not eligible for it. Occasionally, promotional marketing campaigns are sent out on a broader scale, or email delivery lists may not filter out active accounts as quickly as they should. Even though the email reached your inbox, the underlying system checks the strict promotion criteria, which is unfortunately limited specifically to brand-new customers who registered after 5 June 2026. I really appreciate your patience, and I will share this feedback with our team so we can work on making our promotional emails more accurate for our existing customers."

Also in some cases it has taken a while for the 5% account to show up - maybe that was the issue?
