It’s far to hot and uncomfortable to stay in bed so I’ve got up and opened all the doors and windows to try and let a breeze through.
i have just put a chicken in the oven I was meant to cook it yesterday but it was just too hot, it was 34 deg yesterday afternoon and there was no way I was putting the oven on! I will cook it this morning and then it should be cool enough to put in the fridge before I leave for work.I have two people coming today and we were going to an outdoor swimming pool but as the temps are now set to reach the mid 30’s again we have decided against that as there is no shade, we are going to the cinema instead at least there is air con there 😃 we are going to see toy story 5 which should be good.
Dinner tonight will be some of the chicken with picky bits it’s just too hot atm for a cooked dinner, we will eat in the garden under the shade.
I hope everyone can stay cool today xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all
Thanks for the start @RedRuby1231
What a disturbed night! DH had a phone call at midnight from the security men at his work and then around 2-3ish we had the most violent thunderstorm which rumbled on until 5 this morning. A siesta this afternoon methinks as I want to watch the England game tonight as I'm usually an early riser not a night owl ! While I'm writing this I can still hear thunder in the distance! Oh well at least I won't have to water the garden today.
Chap coming round today as we are claiming on our insurance for the leak that has damaged our wooden flooring. We hoped it would settle down during the warm weather but it's moving and creaking.
Apart from that I'm just going to concentrate on keeping cool.
Have a good day all and look after yourselves in this heat x

Morning All
Thanks for the start Ruby, good idea to go to the cinema.
It's warm here but not sunny at the moment, I think that's to come later.
I have the first of the job meetings this morning so am going in early to get myself organised.
Hope you're all well, take care. XX

morning everyone thanks for the start Ruby it’s warm at the moment and due to get hotter I off to do a cleaning job as there were 25 turned up to do jury service yesterday and I wasn’t one that got picked although we were given the chance not to do it if you were picked as it was a particularly harrowing case I was relieved as involved a young person I didn’t want to do it and it’s due to go on for a while . I am doing stir fry tonight nice and easy otherwise I won’t be doing a lot try and stay cool everybody. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Good morning, it's a sunny start here. We are quite near the NE coast so it's never as warm as further inland.
I didn't get much sleep last night because of arthritis pain, but after painkillers kicked in I managed a few hours.
Just the usual day ahead, hope everyone's ok, take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks for kicking off RUBY. Another hot one forecast - 30 deg today. I think it will be a day of salad and picky bits today. Too hot for any sort of cooking.
I have the hairdresser coming this afternoon and as I was out of sinc and fit in after the others last time it doesn't really need trimming. But to put me back in since with the rest of them I am trusting her to take just the bare minimum off the ends. Famous last words! I shall be watching those scissors!
My bus buddy is still awaiting the phone call from the hospital about what is happening next, depending on the scan results. She is getting really stressed with the waiting and jumps every time the phone rings. I really feel for her.
CHRISCA I have watched most of the early evening matches but I'm ready for bed by the end of them. I draw the line at watching those happening in the early hours. I should just manage to keep awake for the end of the England game tonight! Like you I'm usually an early to bed early to rise person.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care and keep cool if you can x

Good morning all - the sun may burn through the white clouds today, it didn't yesterday so here's hoping,
The only real productive task of yesterday was finishing off the elderflower syrup, messy and sticky task. Now I wish I'd made more, unfortunately it only keeps for six weeks as it'd be perfect for Christmas gifts. Perhaps I could freeze some in ice-cube moulds?
The financial spreadsheets were mostly ignored, just wasn't in the mood so they will get attention later today. in the afternoon I had a massive slump and snoozed away two hours - really weird though it may have been because I ate a bowlful of commercially made custard. Too much sugar which I'm not used to!
This morning I've an appointment with the audiology technician for my hearing aid to be retubed. I'm going to ask for a new hearing test and hope that he can make the appointment, my right ear is still dull even though my cold / cough are mostly gone.
Good swerve @IzzyBee, the prospect sounds grim.
Off for breakfast, one over-ripe banana is begging to be eaten. Hugs to all, and fingers crossed for @camelot1001.

Morning all, thanks Ruby- enjoy the cinema.
It's warm but not yet scorching. I've planned a bus trip this morning, hope the windows open! DS 1 has a dental appointment in an hour so will drop me off at the bus stop. I just want a change of scene, and DH has gone to help DS2 again.
DS2 and DGS called last night, 2 visits in 2 days, he brought both DGC on Fathers day and we sat out in the garden.
We've been having salad most days, probably same again tonight unless something takes my eye when I'm out.
Right need to go and get ready, take care everyone.

Morning everyone
We're forecast for about 25 degrees today, so not as hot as some of you, but I'm not complaining. DD in Nuremberg is in the high 30s all week.
We have sports day at school this afternoon, we take our nursery children out to watch and they run one race, they had a practise yesterday.
Then I'm having both children for a couple of hours, DD has a trampoline to build in their garden, I bought it for little one.
Camelot I hope everything goes well for you at work.
Izzy I'm pleased you don't have to do jury service
Right, best move, I have my packed lunch to make and a very small pile of ironing to do, then I'll go down to the care home for an hour before work. I can't remember if I said we've hopefully sold the house mam and dad lived in…someone went to look at it as soon as it was listed and offered the asking price, so it took just a day to sell!
Hope everyone has a good day x
