How much noise is there from the pub, try and visit at different times of day. How long has the current buyer been there?
Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
What's it built of? I don't think it's traditional brick and tile.
It is lovely but I'd be worried about upkeep and maintenance on anything that isn't a normal build unless you're avid diyers or have a trade

I think that will make a lovely home when all of the clutter is gone and you can put your own mark on it. It has a really nice feel too it from the pictures.
Yes it will take more maintenance than a more modern property but that is part of the parcel with character properties and to be expected.
Definitely get a full survey on it but no be too down heartened when they come back with a long list of item that "need attention". That is the surveyors job. They can find issues with modern builds so will have field day with an older property like that one.
I wouldn't be overly concerned about the new builds either. Conversely they can increase the price of existing properties in an area. New builds tend to be more expensive so they drag up the prices of existing properties in the surrounding area.

The lack of parking would put me off. Turning into the garage will be tight and there is nowhere for a second car or guest parking nearby.

I’d be checking the boundaries on Land Registry vs what is on the estate agents listing carefully.

There will be a car park somewhere nearby.

Personally, I avoided Banwell for decades; that's how bad the traffic situation has been!
Nobody here can predict where prices will go, but the bypass, (visible in embryo form on the aerial) is almost bound to improve the desirability. Although it's a back street, just getting in and out could be difficult at peak times in the immediate future.
The 2000 brand-new houses won't interest you, but they may well affect schooling and services, provision of which usually lags behind.
Never believe anything until it's officially denied.

You'd also be blocking the road simply by stopping outside to load/unload.

And so would all the other residents of the street.
You just get on with it when you live somewhere like that.
That isn't just a problem with older property. When we moved in March our removals vans blocked the access to the other four properties on our shared driveway. No one complained, they did the same when they moved in.

The main area of concern for me would be the lack of parking for any deliveries or even just shopping unless there is somewhere nearby. Then there is the adjoining property which might cause issues
Do you have the sales history? My neighbours property is on sale currently way below what they bought for as they are desperate to move closer to family due to illness.
it looks as though it could be a fine home with decluttering which should have been done earlier as it might have helped the sale
