Interhome - any difficulties using them?
Next month we have an apartment reserved (already paid the balance in full including the tourist tax) in Austria. Booked it through Booking.com. I have tried to reach out to then several times to ask them questions but they have not responded. One question is VERY important: its the documentation they said they had attached in a previous message but didnt, including the exact location of the property.
Im getting worried that they aren't reliable and we aren't going to get the experience we want with them. Anyone got any experience with them, good or bad?

I've have a very quick look at their reviews and they don't instil confidence. I hope you manage to get the answers you need.

I had a very good experience when I used Interhome, but have had major problems with Booking.com. Anyway, if you don't know the exact address of your holiday home that is a fundamental problem. If you need to book a replacement in a hurry I suggest that you do NOT use Booking.

I cant book a replacement as I can't afford to as already paid in full for this current one 😫
Whats wrong with booking.com? Ive used them in the past and they've been fine.

No idea why someone decided to mention booking.com as that company is irrelevant to your issue.

We booked our accommodation through booking.com. I did contact booking.com 2 days ago and they said they would attempt to contact them for me but not heard anything yet.

Is this for a “named” apartment/accommodation or a generic apartment/accommodation in a certain area, or particular complex?
If the latter then it’s quite possible that your actual accommodation unit would not be allocated until closer to your arrival date.

Its the latter but they told me I'd find out insteuctions for how to get there 28 days before we go and its now less than 28 days so i should have been informed by now

If they told you that then I see why you might be questioning it - but I wouldn't be too concerned at this stage.
On the whole I think 'generic', or 'allocated on arrival' type accommodation is allocated much nearer to guest arrival. This done not to be awkward but just how these things are set up. It gives not only flexibility to the accommodation provider in matching a suitable check-in with a recent check-out, but also allows for behind the scene changes if for example an accommodation has to be put out of service (i.e. air conditioning unit or pool pump fails).
We are just back from a villa rental in Mallorca. Booked via another villa specialist. We picked a specific named villa in Pollensa but only received the full address and driving instructions just 5-days prior to our trip. All worked out fine.
