Outfox Energy - Price Rise on a Fixed Tariff
Comments

On Outfox quote page Tracker tariff is listed under "fixed tariffs" alongside "12 month fixed". being as it is a variable tariff it should be listed under "variable tariffs" alongside "Fox Standard" which is "fixed" for 3 months.

The word Fixed doesn't appear in the actual tariff name - fixed tariffs have 'Fix'd' and trackers say Tracker - but seems to appear, possibly incorrectly, on the on-line dashboard - but which would only be visible after signing up. On the dashboard there's a 'View tariff details' button - does this extra info also say Fixed under tariff type or just on the icon?

No. You are getting a fixed discount. The 5% discount is fixed for the 12 months.
It isn't misleading if you read what you are signing up for. That is why terms and conditions exist and is why you should read them and fully understand them before you sign up or agree to anything.
The same applies to any contract you sign.
