Hi,

My Lenovo Ideapad running windows 11 home has now suddenly stopped connecting to the internet. My other laptop connects up to my mobile router just fine.

I have turned the laptop off then ON. Still doesnt work.

Should i do something in device manager? Eg should i dis-install all network adapters and then restart?

If i click the networks icon thing, then it says i am connected to the internet of my mobile router, but i cant actually get any web pages up.

    Can you clarify the situation?

    Have you rebooted the router?

Does the laptop connect to the WiFi SSID but then report that there is no internet connection or is that connection not being made?

Is there an error showing in Device Manager?

Is it on the same router/wifi network as the device you used to post this?

If so then it is a HW issue rather than network.

If on a different network then try hot spotting or using another network.

Are you running a VPN or a non Windows anti-virus package?

I have had all sorts of trouble with VPN software on Windows PCs/laptops. Not only do you have to wait for it to finish updates, but it can block internet access until it does and sometimes it fouls up the access giving the appearance of “normality” but not giving access.

I prefer to use a VPN “add on” with Firefox, rather than a stand alone installation.

    Have you run the troubleshooter?

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    Try another browser?
