Current Account Switching

Hi there, I was just after some quick advise on my options after Ive used all of the banking switch deals. There is no bank that I haven't used that offers the service and I'm now using some of the other banks to refer friends and family to get cash back. What other incentives could I try now that Ive exhausted all these options.

If you've exhausted all current account switching options, including friend referrals, then you'll presumably need to move on to other areas such as transferring pensions or opening investment accounts (e.g. the current £100 EToro offer discussed on the savings board)? Regularly monitoring both banking and savings boards should keep you abreast of opportunities as they arise…

Keep an eye on the cashback sites, you can often get £17-£20 or more for opening accounts even without switching and they are often independent of previous offers

Just as an example Revolut pay £20, Santander Everyday or Edge Current £20, TSB £40 for the Spend & Save etc

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Pensions are super lurative and wipe the floor with bank promos, (i'll be receiving a cashback cheque for around £6,400 sometime between now and December).

Have you looked at the Premium / Premier accounts too? I've just got £500 for switching to Lloyds, but Barclays and HSBC have recently offered similar deals. A few more hoops to jump through than a regular account, but worth the effort for the sums on offer. These seem to have been a recent addition to the cashback scene, so others providers may follow suit.

    • The rich buy assets.
    • The poor only have expenses.
    • The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

Have you checked the dates for the switches to see if you are eligible again? I've just done Lloyds as my previous switch was outside the exclusion date range
