Second Barclays current account
I'm hoping to open a HSBC account and do a switch to earn the £220 bonus as it's the first bonus that I'm actually eligible for in several years. The account that I want to switch in is my Barclays one, which already has 2 active DDs, although it's not used for much else. I'm wondering whether Barclays allows you to open a second current account so that I'll still have one after I've done the switch? Are there any pitfalls to be aware of if this is possible?

In my experience, opening a second Barclays current account is no problem at all.

I opened one very easily via the app a few years ago when I needed a separate account.
