Nationwide Member Credit Card
I applied for a Nationwide Member Credit Card at 01:10 on Wednesday 6th May 2026.
The application information, only visible for three minutes "to keep my data safe", said I should hear from Nationwide within 7 working days.
I took screenshots.
I heard nothing.
I assumed (my bad) Nationwide were busy with Fairer Share and let things lie until today.
My application has expired.
The CSR asked me repeatedly what communications I'd received from Nationwide and didn't seem to believe me when I said only Fairer Share info and my statement.
A complaint has been raised and I will have to reapply.
My questions are:
Will a reapplication affect my credit score?
Has this happened to anyone else?
It's not the first time Nationwide systems have let me down, I had to chase my new debit card twice last year.
Thank you.

Will a reapplication affect my credit score?
In short no - because you don't have one.
A couple of recent searches on your credit history should not impact your credit standing.

I had a technical problem with their credit card application process online a few months ago - eventually raised it through the complaints system and a very helpful gentleman got things back on track.
Try calling 0161-605-3425.
Fingers crossed for you.
