My dyson dco7 lost suction yesterday. stripped it down to ensure there wasn't a blockage, found that the belt had snapped.Picked up a replacement and working as good as new now

We bought a DC-04 for £30 about 3 years ago, last year it lost suction I took it apart but could see nothing obvious. I took it to our local independent repairer and within 2 hrs they had given it a full service and replaced a number of parts all for £45 bargin!

    Hi
Sainsbury has a vacuum (sorry not sure which one) reduced from £249 to £149 - on a tv ad at the moment, also had some in store when I went in last Friday. Sorry to be vague.
I also can vouch for the excellent cust service from Dyson - had mine repaired twice in 8 years 1st for free 2nd time paid a flat fee for loads of replacement parts.

Tesco have some Dysons on sale http://direct.tesco.com/q/N.1999540/Nr.99.aspx

Saw one in Tesco today that was half price but they dont seem to have it online, might be worth checking out the store first if you are looking to replace it.
