Hi everyone. Thanks for your messages. Been a little bit better since the other day. I think it's just this heat that's doing it. Looking forward to Autumn!!

Just a quick one today as it's my nephew's birthday and we're selling at a carboot tomorrow morning, so have been getting ready for it.

We have changed the debt target for August to my OH's Barclaycard, which stands at £568.95. Pretty big target for one month, but I'm going to try and plan out how I'm going to do it, but that's a job for another day.

Today's Payment - £10.83 (from Prolific). New Total - £558.12

Morning. The car boot went well yesterday, made around £260 I think. That's going towards other bills etc, so unfortunately won't be using it for this challenge.

I've been trying to work out how I'm going to clear this card before the end of the month. Here's how I think I can do it:

Prolific - £200 (completely do-able, just need to make sure I've got my laptop on when doing other things throughout the day).

Vinted - £250 (again, very do-able, I just have to make sure I list like a mad woman early on in the month so the money comes through in time.

Five Surveys - £50 (I like this app as the payout is instant and I can dip in and out when I have time to do a survey or two, or if I'm waiting around, like at the hospital - £50 is only 10 payouts and that's not too bad over the month).

Misc - £70 (Will try and find other ways to get some cash in, or if I go over any of the other targets).

Today's Payment - £1.20 (from Vinted). New Total - £540.92

Might be slow at first, but once the Prolific and Vinted payments start kicking in, I should have some nice payments.

Prolific - £10.83/£200 (£5 pending)

Vinted - £17.20/£250 (£23 Pending)

Prime example yesterday of something that fits into the misc category - I recently signed up for Nous (can't remember why, but it looks for better energy deals etc and it was a free trial for their premium service). Separate from that, my energy account was due for renewal, so I did that and then got an email from Nous saying I had £9.17 cash rewards because I had signed up to a new energy tariff. Thought it must have been a con, but it let me withdraw it and it went into my bank straight away (don't worry, the trial won't become a paid thing that I forget to cancel).

Today's Payment - £13.17 (from Nous and Vinted). New Total - £527.75

Prolific - £10.83/£200

Vinted - £21.20/£250

Misc - £9.17/£70

Hi again. I'm rethinking my strategy for this challenge. I want to get it clear by the end of the month so I can start clearing another debt in September. I'm thinking I might be better off paying a set amount each day instead of ad-hoc amounts otherwise I might have a mountain to climb later on in the month.

So I put the amount and days I have to clear it into Chat GPT (I like to call him Chad) and he said I need to pay off £19.55 per day from tomorrow and then £19.45 on the 31st August, which will clear it. I know I'll have some interest on there at some point too, but that should only be around £13 I think.

I'll still post on here when I make the payment and share some of the ways I'm making money. My main aim is to clear as many little debts as possible by the end of the year, which frees up money each month and can be used to attack our larger debts next year, when hopefully we will finally be debt free. That's the dream anyway.

Really liking the Mistplay app at the moment, In the past week or so I've managed to claim £55 worth of Tesco vouchers from playing games. Can't pay that off the debt, but it clearly saves us money we would've been spending on shopping anyway.
