safestyle door repairs
Safestyle installed windows and doors to my property on 13/02/23, and I paid the deposit with my credit card and the outstanding amount from my bank account. After the installation, I had some issues with the doors. Safestyle returned to make adjustments of the doors, as they did not close correctly. Unfortunately, the situation worsened since then, and since Safestyle had ceased trading in October 2023, I have had double-glazing installers/repairers out to make adjustments and provide a quote to fix or replace. They have suggested that I replace them, as the doors have not been fitted correctly, leaving no adjustment and not considering the construction of my house.
The issue is that after a considerable time trying to deal with Installsure, who hold the insurance, to have the doors removed and reinstalled.
I feel let down by Installsure and would be grateful for any advice on how I can move this forward.

Have a word with your CC provider about a S75 claim.

I reckon that is the way to go.

Sounds like you may have a good claim but make a very detailed report for the bank because they'll likely ask all sorts of questions and ask for evidence.
I had a claim (first ever I think) under S75 and I was quite surprised at the detail they asked for when they replied. They also called me which was good as they hinted at possible weaknesses in my paperwork so helped me bolster the claim.
The more detail the better for the person working on your claim.

3rd party report from another company listing issues will be a good starting point.

Installsure said no, as I paid the deposit with a credit card, the bank refused the Section 75 claim as they require supporting documentation, such as a copy of the contract, or the supplier's terms and conditions that applied at the time of the purchase. Now, FOS said it can't prove breach of contract.

"Installsure said no, as I paid the deposit with a credit card"
The method of payment makes no difference to the terms of the insurance. If the insurance from Installsure covers faulty goods and/or fitting, then they should honour the claim on that basis.
"the bank refused the Section 75 claim as they require supporting documentation"
Do you not still have a copy of the documentation, T&C's, receipts, etc? It's not unreasonable for the bank to ask for this, since in the event of a successful S75 claim, they'd be paying out of their own pocket.
