Thanks for your feedback buddy9. Re the small boundary change in 1968 I assume that we won’t get into trouble in future conveyancing if we don’t mention it, as I expect the accurate boundaries will be ironed out when the property gets moved over onto the land register?

I’ve scoured your input from previous forums to navigate the C1 form and - a steep learning curve! I’ve found help for each stage of the form. Just want to say a big Thank You.

Hi, Sorry I have more questions. I was going to put a Santander cash isa under Moveable Estate in Scotland as the deceased dealt with and opened account at a local branch in town he lived in. However I’ve noticed the sort code 090127 is (on googling) linked in with the former corporate offices in Bootle, Merseyside. It appears from www.gov.uk website that when Santander took over Bradford and Bingley and migrated closed accounts over some were given the above sort code. Those corporate offices in Bootle have now closed. The head office appears to be Regents Place, London. Has anyone else dealt with a similar situation, or is able to advise on which address to list with the account, and location on the C1 inventory?
Also similar question with a Nationwide Cash ISA account- although the deceased dealt with a branch in Scotland, they do not have unique branch sort codes - it’s 071310. Does that come under personal estate in England - their head office is in Swindon England.

Incidentally both of the above cash Isa’s have already been paid out.

Also, an other question! Getting tied up in knots. Does an old penny Prudential policy pay out come under Scotland or England? The head office is based in London.

    Grateful for any help.

If the branches are still in existence, you can list as moveable in Scotland and include the branch location in the entry. Otherwise personal estate in England and Wales.

Life policy payable to estate - moveable in Scotland.

That’s great. Thank you. Sorry for more questions.

There are 5 bank of Scotland accounts which have each been listed separately and numbered individually on the inventory, with type of account, sort/ account number, capital and interest etc. However I’ve been reading through old threads today, and have come across an entry that appeared to have a knock back saying to combine entries for bank accounts within the same bank on the inventory. I’m confused by this. Not sure how to list them, as thought individual listing was more thorough, and required. Appreciate any advice.

Listing accounts under a single heading, as in the example below, is commonly used.

Thank you for all your help so far esp. buddy9 It’s been invaluable.

    Yet more questions!

We received a belated Pension Age Winter Heating payment for our mother who died a few months before the deceased in question. She left a very small estate having lived in a care home so confirmation was not required for her.
Please could you tell us if the below looks correct-

“Social Security Scotland Pension Age Winter Heating Payment PO Box 10326 Dundee DD1 9HB Pension Age Winter Heating Payment - entitlement from the estate of predeceased spouse (Name XXXX).

Also what seems a daft question really- on page 1, Question 2, Should the first two forenames of the deceased be placed on the same line or on separate lines.

Also on Page 4, Question 18 if the deceased had no other surviving relatives do I leave those boxes blank, as opposed to scoring the. through?
