Confirmation C1 declaration help
confirmation was rejected due to deceased name in Will is different to what I’d put on form. I’ve amended this but was told I’d have to put something in the declaration.
Looking for help as to what I’d put.

If this was a married woman with a maiden surname, the C1 could be completed using the married surname and then to refer to the will name in para 2 of page 2. For example ‘In said will the deceased is named xxxx xxxxxxx, a former name’.
An alternative is to use the naming convention utilising both surnames in the C1 - for example “Agnes Mary McDonald or Murray”.

sorry, I didn’t say in previous post.
It’s my mums first name. In her will it’s Isobel but her death certificate is Isabella.
Also when I signed will I named her as Isabella0 -
Isabella is her birth name

If this is an alternatively used name.
Page 1 box 2, use ‘Isabella’
Page 2 para 1, use ‘Isabella xxxxxx also known as Isobel xxxxxx’
Page 2 para 2 include. ‘In said will the deceased is named Isobel xxxxxx’.
