Standard AST template UK
Is there anywhere I can download an editable word copy of assured shorthold tenancy. I am getting new tenants and these are people we already know so just need basic/standard paperwork which covers tenancy and has a section for inventory.
Tried Google, the websites ask for details and then ask for money at the end.
Thanks in advance.

Just as well you were stymied by pay walls for ASTs. As of 1st May these were abolished by the new renters act.
Suggest you get to grips with the rules surrounding Assured Periodic Tenancies as soon as possible, if you are not going to fall foul of your revised statutory obligations as a landlord.

Thanks, that's very helpful.

Scary that so many landlords don't even know about the new legislation

Scary that so many don't know about long standing legislation...

One person posting isn't scary, probably 100 people posting isn't scary.
This is a forum after all where people come for help, advice and with issues so we will only generally see tenants with landlord renters rights act issues and vice versa.
We won't here from landlords and tenants where all is well
