My electric toothbrush utilises USB-C for charging. Female of course. You have described yours as a usb type plug, which would be male. Please clarify. Are you referring to female USB-A?

Even though there's only me here I always remove the brush head after use to rinse it through. I charge mine in (what was) the airing cupboard on the landing, where there is a socket.

There are plenty of such adaptors on Amazon, I'm not sure how you only found one?
Yes some ship from China, but others are dispatched from Amazon.

so a Euro zone adaptor will work in a UK shaver socket? Ours has both a 220 and 110 socket so I was wondering if this would work. Need to get a Euro adaptor in any case so this would be convenient if it would work.

The two pin Europlug is slightly different to the UK two pin shaver plug but in practice it'll usually work.

Euro adapters should be fine, if you want then double check the input voltage on whatever you buy, and plug it in to the 220 or 110 as appropriate.
USB-A usually puts out 5V at 3 Amps, but I note that the 3rd one I linked has a Power Delivery USB-C port for fast charging, so if you are going abroad you might want that to fast charge your phones. (100/110 V input btw).
