Revolut 5% saver

Hello recently opened Revolut current account to get £20 cashback which worked well and quick

Noticed the 5% instant saver for 6 months up to £25k which is a very good rate

It would appear that savings are held with clear bank which has FSCS Protection up to £120k ?

One negative I've read about is that account can be frozen due to strict anti fraud tools and has limited chat facilities to resolve

Just wondering what other people think and have any experience?

Thanks

This is what I'm seeing online ... It is putting me off putting in 25k

However you normally you hear more bad things online as no one normally says how good things are

Be really interested on people who have used Revolut finding

    Regards

Its putting you off …because it comes with risks .

Risk has a cost …a downside thats a real PIA .

Weigh up the possible gain….. like what is it going to be…… a extra £100 or so….

The outcome ……you could spend months talking to a chatbot brickwall ….while you cannot use your own money !

Yep not worth the risk will pass on the savings account

  • I couldn't find a savings account in the Revolut App gelding 5%. Only the basic instant saver at 2.9%, and yes, newly opened account

Did you only do the £20 spend to get your cashback triggered? I'm seeing a 5 stage setup being mentioned, which seems to include £4.99 to send a physical card, as well as three card spends, though I did use the virtual card to spend the £20.

Never received the £20.00 reward. Was told i did not spend £20.00, but in actual fact i spent over £20.00.

I made 4 transactions but was informed by Revolut they can not see any transactions.

I feel like withdrawing my money, only the interest rate is so good.

When the interest rate drops i will close the account.

I've been using Revolut for years and have never had any issue at all, whether moving money in or out, reliability of services, app - all is good!

As others have said, you hear about the moans more than the satisfied customers.

They did cough up the £20, today, after I spent the £20+ yesterday, using the virtual card, via GooglePay.

I've also deposited some funds and the interest is added, and visible daily. As for Clear Bank, they were involved with another 'bank' which I had savings with, though I can't remember which now, and had no issues.
