Driving to Poland in July/August
We have often travelled to Poland for our main holiday in our car, but have not done so since 2023. At that time you could drive straight from Germany to Poland and vice versa. Now I believe you have to stop at the border and show your passport. Does anyone have any up to date information, preferably about what it is like during school holiday periods?

You can see the list here
However just because it's listed doesn't mean there are actually any controls on the border. We've driven across several of those in the last month and no checks exist.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.1 -
The border controls are inconsistent.
Last Autumn, travelling by train, I went from Poland through the Czech Republic into Germany and at no point did I need to show my passport, or so much as notice an international border.1
