Maternity Pay for freelancer
I am a freelancer PAYE. I have looked on gov calculator. My baby is due 6th Jan 2027. I have just started new job with new employer on 8th June. Before that I was employed by another employer (no break). So I do same job consistently for different employers. I am trying to find out if I qualify for the 90% for first 6 weeks?

You qualify for Statutory Maternity Pay if you are with the same employer for 26 weeks. So you will qualify if you stay with your current employer from now until you have your baby. Your employer might have a more generous policy, that is just the legal requirement.
If you don't stay long with specific employers then you may qualify for money from the government instead (Maternity Allowance), which might be less generous than what an employer would give you, because it's capped.

You need to be with the same eployer for 26 weeks up to the qualifying week which is 15 weeks before the EWC (expected week of childbirth) given on your MATB1. So start about 40 weeks before the EWC; so I do not think you will qualify for SMP. You can check here….
Probably qualify for maternity allowance, details here….
