Morning all
More rain expected today. Will it ever end!
Off out later to pick my DS up at a garage where he is taking his car for some work and dropping him off home. I thought it was last week and was half way there and realised I was a week early!!
Hope everyone has a good day x

Hi everyone
Thanks for the kick off @ScarletRibbons
@Chrisca50 I was thinking what you said sounded familiar :) Good to be organised.
I've been working too much. Need to get organised for my op in a few weeks, but hard when I'm working 9-6pm as a minimum.
Hoping to speak to my boss today in terms of handover. Then I can start to tell people what's happening and hopefully knock a few things off my plate.
My contract officially finishes tomorrow but they're apparently going to extend it and then incorporate my unpaid leave of 8-10 weeks. Nervous!
I also invoiced for job#2. £650 to me, which will go a long way when I'm on unpaid leave.
Take care everyone

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Another day of rain forecast but just light rain as opposed to the torrential stuff. And so far it's fine with no wind gusting. It's so nice to be back on my trusty old laptop after 8 days of phone fumbling with sausage fingers.
I got back from my caravan jaunt yesterday tea-time but sadly I don't have the exciting tales to tell you as GERS will when she posts. All I have done is a bit of garden pottering and standing the pots back up when weather permitted, reading, reading and more reading and occasional tv watching, when I could find anything worth watching. I took 5 books with me and all got read. My stash is gradually going down a bit.
I brought the usual piles of washing back with me, bedding, towels and clothes. Unfortunately it won't be getting pegged out if the forecast is right. Some is already on the airier upstairs with the dehumidifier doing its thing. I need to do a freezer dive shortly before I christen today's eats. After my panic buying attack at the sm the freezer is full and in total chaos with stuff shoved anywhere.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all x

Morning again, welcome back Gers, hope you've had a good time.
It's cold here, as usual, what's happened to summer I wonder.
I did all my ironing yesterday, and other household jobs.
Not much happening today, hope everyone is ok, take care folks.

Morning all
Bright and sunny here for now but more rain due later and for most of the day, I am off to do a course today for most of the day 😩 but at least it gets it out of the way.
I made a quiche yesterday which is for dinner tonight with new potatoes and salad, I caught the top of it slightly in the oven but hopefully it will still taste good, dd is off today so she will probably cook.
I have a wash in the wm but it will have to go on the airer, I had to resort to the TD yesterday which is terrible for June, the airer can go under the gazebo in the garden at least it gets some air that way.
Gers I hope you got home safe xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all from a very wet Mehefinland
No two days are the same it seems at the moment- glorious sunshine yesterday and piddling down today!
The long awaited planter is 'supposed' to be delivered today after the carrier got it wrong last week and tried to deliver on Friday despite being told not to🙄 Then have the fun of positioning it and filling it with growing media. Going tostart with some old rotting logs and some sheep wool I blagged off Fb the other week. Other wise it would be bags and bags of compost, and quite frankly most of it these days is rubbish , and expensive! Got some plants ready to go in when its completed - it is intended to be a sensory garden area , so things like lavender, stachys etc.
The huge chimney stack at the local closed power station is due to come down on Friday. Its over 500 ft tall so will be quite spectacular to see providing the weather is good- the prospects aren't great at the moment. It is an iconic structure -I just about remember it being built! You can see it for miles ( even from the other side of the Bristol Channel) so it will be very strange with it gone. One of the local attractions has opened up a viewing area for the event- charging £5!! You can see it for free in lots of places around here-I can seethe top 100ft or so from my lounge window. Oh well, one bang, a cloud of dust, and it will be gone. Don't think I will waste a fiver.
Plant sale at the library on Saturday - need to sort out what is ready to go but it can wait until the rain stops.
Hugs and spoons as always. Have a good day
Mehefin aka Derek

Good morning
And it's raining here also, and blooming chilly, DH says he is going to light the wood burner!
Nothing much happening here, need to persuade big dog to go out. Braising steak with onions and mash tonight, proper comfort food.
Looking forward to hearing about Gers holiday.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning everyone
Yesterday was a busy day - care home first which wasn't very pleasant as mam had her coat on when I arrived and was shouting at the carers to let her out and dad was in his room shouting because he thought she was going to get out….
Then I went food shopping, came home and had lunch then went plant shopping...then over to my friends house for a very welcome sit-down and tea and cake. Later I phoned my auntie (mam's sister) as I hadn't spoken to her for a couple of weeks and I like to keep her up to date.
Yesterday our weather was sunshine one minute then huge hailstones the next! Today is forecast to be drizzly then hopefully sunshine for the weekend, so I've booked to take little one to Llidorei at Alnwick Gardens on Saturday, it only takes 40 minutes from the bus stop at the end of my road.
I need to put a highchair together, little foster baby is big enough for one now and will enjoy sitting next to us when we're eating, rather than in his bouncy chair on the floor. Then I've got work at lunchtime.
I hope you're home safely Gers and not too tired after the journey. Have a good day everyone x
