Keeping records for IHT 404
I wonder if anyone else has tried the Monzo app? It is intended to help people to budget and control their spending but is also a perfect tool for generating categorised spending records for IHT403.
For £3 per month you get a version that lets you customise spending categories. So I deleted all the suggested ones and replaced them with only the ones in IHT403. I don’t ever use cash and the 3 cards I have are recognised by Monzo so all my spending is automatically put in the correct boxes (which you can edit) and at the end of each month I have my categorised spending ready to transfer to my IHT spreadsheet which gets printed out and sits with my Will.

You might consider keeping printed receipts to be on the safe side

I often find that ink on receipts or from printers does not have the staying power that it used to (things ain't what they used to be!). So would suggest also scanning and saving any receipts in any easily accessible folder with the records. (Backed up properly to guard against failure).
