Amex is good-but be careful.
I have as my new credit card the amex everyday cash back card, and its great. I'm all ready earning cash back and only had it a short while.
one thing I didn't realise though, if you buy something on it and pay through paypal it will cost you more money. I was trying to buy something from argos on my amex card for £40, with paypal it was £50. so just beware.

Hi I logged in just to respond here.. have been looking around but not logged in.
when you try to pay using PayPal and Amex, for some reason with some shops/sellers the price in the PayPal page shows more than the actual cost but when you click pay, the lower (actual) cost is charged not the inflated mistake price.
I have tried it myself and can confirm this is the case.0 -
oh I see, ok. next time I buy something I'll try that and see what happens. thanks.

Why would you use AMEX via PayPal? If it's to stop people getting your card details AMEX offers one time card details...
If you buy something and wanted to use the S.75 protection the use of PayPal would probably break the liability connection with AMEX.

Ebay, is one reason.
Let's Be Careful Out There0 -
I'm not sure I've used eBay personally in ~ 15 years. I found it's mostly full of scammers.
