Share scam ??

Hi,
Just had a phone call from an Alex Jones, (from BLM New York,) asked for me by name, said it was about my shares with Centrica and a merger between Centrica and another company, they are prepared to pay between £8 and £17, he wanted to send me details in an email, I told him I don’t talk about finances over the phone, and if Centrica want to inform me of a take over offer they can write to me.

I’m pretty sure that was a scam call or does anyone have any other information on the matter..

It's a scam. Centrica is trading under £2, no one in their right mind is paying anywhere close to £8 per share, and certainly not via unsolicited phone calls.
