Fixing Tariff Octopus

My fixed term with Octopus is up in a fortnight's time. I have in the past always used fixed tariffs but was wondering about giving Agile a try as opposed to the new fix which, as the OP has identified, has factored in the increase from 1 July.
I used ampernomics to see if there was any advantage to switching to agile based on my usage patterns. When I'm working, consumption during peak hours is minimal and there isn't much load shifting I can do. No idea if their costing on agile are correct, so take the answers with a pinch of salt.
A more rough & ready comparison is to look at the average unit rate over say the last six months, and compare that to what you are currently paying. Again, with my usage, the saving is minimal (on a pretty decent fix at present), and the volatility of agile this year has been quite scary.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Same boat for an early sept fix finish. But EV about to land so gas only, I think I consider going to the present fix before July kicks in because June would be cheaper than the fix rate I hit in Sept and Oct could go up as well (or down….)
Existing fix has no exit fee (previous did). But then if I stay till sept then revert to the flexible and….god I hate this crystals ball stuff cos that looks could be cheaper…….(todays flexible is 0.0584kwh S Wales looks above existing cap?) .
(smart meter data used to spreadsheet the hell out of it and not losing a lot over the summer dropping 2.5 months off the existing fix and rapidly removing the top covering that is left).
Going over there to kick something cos I am tying myself up in knots.
