DCB Legal Upcoming Court Advice

I received a parking fine from total carparks back in April 2025 due to not obtaining a ticket. I tried using the machine several times but it was not working, I tried paying via the parkonomy app which also was not working and I tried paying via telephone which was not accepting any of my cards. In the end I had to choice but to give up as I was running late for an important appointment.
I appealed the fine which was rejected, it has since been passed to dcb legal and I ignored their letters for months. They applied to the county court and we attend mediation but they were not willing to make any agreement.
We now have a court date on 19th June, I have submitted a witness statement and so have they. I am not able to attend the court due to ill health and I am worried that will cause it to go in their favour.
Any advice?

We do see cases go for the claimant if the defendant does not attend. Have you tried contacting the court to see if it can be deferred due to ill health? Whatever, you must advise the court you will not be attending or you will certainly lose.

I will ask if I can attend via video link as it is an ongoing serious medical condition.
