Morning folks and thanks Scarlet. I don't believe it, there is no wind here this morning! But there has just been a heavy downpour. We are promised a dry afternoon with sunny spells but I'm not counting my chickens until it happens!
Mehefin I'm so.pleased the wedding went.well but, sadly, we have no control over the weather. Dawn obviously felt all the hard work had been worth it when the quilt got so many compliments.
It will be the same sort.of day as all the others over the past week here at the van. Breakfast pots washed, lunch decided on and fish out defrosting for tea, with salad and baby potatoes. I've just started a new book and hope I enjoy it as much as the last one which I.didnt.want to end! An author new to me but one I shall look out for again.
Have a good day folks take care x

Morning all, thanks for the start Scarlet.
It's another dismal wet day here and the rain has already been hammering down just in time for the school run, but apparently the sun is due to come out this afternoon. We'll see. I live in hope of the summer clothes getting an airing soon. The last couple of evenings I've almost been tempted to put the heating on for a bit but instead have dragged the sofa throw back out.
Yesterday I sent off my shopping list and it's due for delivery tomorrow, mainly all pantry items and some fresh fridge stuff but nothing for the freezer that I have to remind myself doesn't have elastic sides! 😁 I bit the bullet over getting a mini chopper and that could arrive either today or tomorrow. Today I'll make some bread and have more washing to do. Tea tonight is similar to yours @remmie - bacon, egg and hash browns.
@Chrisca - Such a shame your freesias didn't make an appearance, hopefully you'll find something cheerful to fill the planter.
@Ruby - I hope your ear problem is nothing too serious. How fortunate the appointments for you and your DM coincide.
@AA - Fingers crossed your DM's Attendance Allowance application is successful and it doesn't take too long for a decision.
@mehefin - I'm sorry the wedding day was so wet (I did have everything crossed for you) but glad everything else went to plan.
@dp1 - Well done on making the pirate costume for LO rather than buying one, I'm sure she'll look the part.
Have a good (if soggy) start to the week and take care. xx

Dp1 you have reminded me I meant to mention the Clarks Outlet too. I've had a few things over the past few years. I am still wearing some white cloudsteppers bought at least 4 years ago half rrp. So comfy.

so pleased the wedding went well ,nice to mention Dawn and Amy’s Dad ,I can understand the lump in the throat .
Well I’m just back from seeing the back specialist ,he’s convinced the main problem is my back and not my hip which he thinks is mostly age ( 77 next week )
So the next step is MRI and standing X-rays because apparently I’m very twisted, more money or wait over a year .Oh well I can’t take it with me,but would rather spend their inheritance on a cruise and glamorous living !
Stay safe all11 -
Hi all,
Late one from me as I’ve been in the office today and it was busy. I’m now off for a week as we go to Majorca tomorrow. Still need to pack but it’s all out on our bed so will sort that shortly.
So pleased to hear the wedding went well @mehefin and that Dawn and your DIL’s late father were included on the day. Glad Gwen’s quilt was much appreciated ❤️Good upcycling skills @dp1 🏴☠️
Sounds so painful @Suffolksue xx
Have a good evening all
