Doorbell video camera

Hi,

Just looking some advice and recommendations regarding a video doorbell.

Things we would need -

• An actual doorbell noise in the house when someone uses it
• To record footage - not just live recording
• Not hard wired in
• Preferably no subscription if possible

If anyone could recommend and also explain how the footage is accessed then it would be a great help!

I have Eufy doorbell,

Doorbell noise yes

Footage yes

Not hard wired yes

No subscription yes

Footge is recorded on an SD card and is accessed through an app on your phone.

Is it possible to get a wired version of the EUFY? I have looked at them before and would not want to be swapping out batteries.

Also, can there be multiple (three) internal door chimes? We currently have three internal door chimes on the current door bell and that is sufficient to be heard through the whole house.

Our Eufy doorbells came with terminals of the back to connect a wired power supply, I accepts a wide range of voltages, so you can use most existing supplies.

I have a Tapo doorbell.

I'd link you but I've found links can cause upset so just Google D235 & that's the model number.

Ticks every box you set.

You can have it hard wired if you want (I don't) or rechargeable. It charges via USB cable.

The charge will obviously last depending on how much it's activated & other things but ours lasts months. So for the sake of taking it off (must disable the anti theft via the app before removing) one Sunday every so often & giving it a charge it's no big deal.

I also don't have it in the most ideal of locations - it gets blasted by the sun throughout the day, but that's where my front door is so nothing I can do there beyond removing the front door & having house access on the side in to the kitchen.

It records to an SD card but if you get the Tapo hub then it can record to that.

I have the H200 hub which is also SD card but if you get the H500 hub then that's to a hard drive, be it mechanical or SSD & I believe that has 24/7 capabilities then.

I'm really not sure why people choose Ring but then I'm against subscriptions anyway.

Oh and it came with 1 chime but I got the H200 hub to act as a secondary chime upstairs.

Yes. Guy at work who installs all our audio visual stuff has them and hardwired them in.
