Bearing in mind today's 7/6/26 plunge pricing is from 0500 until 1600 not much for those not on agile …. they sent this beginning May , not been any meaningful saving sessions either.

Yeah, I've been hoping for a Power Up or two too.

Looking at the Wasted Wind map, there's not much abatement going on today so I'm not surprised that we're not being encouraged to use more.

I too would have expected non Agile customers to be offered something today but maybe it's because it's a Sunday and needs human intervention? Although you would expect it to be automatic to some extent.

On another note Octopus just produced a bill some 11 months ish from our last bill

So I have to concede after a long time with Octopus and a fully reporting smart meter this latest delay in billing has been interesting, and although we know and track our usage, could have been quite alarming for other customers.

They have grown so fast I think the cracks are well and truly appearing.

I have raised two queries on the above issue and not received a response by the hello email so have now escalated this to the issue resolution email address as we want to know exactly what went wrong.

Being on same rate is like surge pricing currently, you end up paying premium most of the time during the day - average price on Agile during 0:00-16:00 and 19:00-23:59 is about 15p/kWh so about 40% cheaper. And that's OK..

But you're scared of "surge pricing".

Back to the topic, I think during this unknown market, Octopus is trying to make as much money as they can to protect itself from the unknown future - charge customer 25p and earn themselves 27p. No need to give free electricity and lose that gain - if it all was more stable then I can imagine it being different.

I was wondering if anyone had mentioned that…☕️

As for the system mentioned in some cars - if I was involved in an accident significant enough to set off the airbags, I think I'd be quite grateful for an emergency services call automatically being made.
