Hi, hopefully someone knows the answer to this one. I thought I was reasonably OK with Computers, but if I try to view a thread with more than 1000 posts, I get the IE message about page not found. I have tried using Firefox and have no problem. I can view other threads fine.
Supposedly we are on 2meg from Telewest, but I doubt whether we are really getting that and it may be the reason.
I have cleared cookies and cached stuff to see if that helps

Apparently the speed is 2029 download and 270 upload, so that should be okDebts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I am with Virgin Telewest too, and my internet freezes dissapears, page not found...and so on..
I have tried many ways to try and prove what the problem is but cant..
All I can say is when my internet vanishes there are several ways to get it back..
1. do nothing for 5 to 10 min then it works again.
2.log into my neighbours unencrypted wireless as a test... can ALWAYS get internet thru this connection so I know its not my computer..
3. reboot my comuter...although this works most times I think it is just because it takes about 5 min to do and the internet is usually back by then anyway..“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0
