Bit confused about price rises (British Gas)
So I got an email from BG and it tells me my new rate but when I do a search for new energy the prices are wildly different, the yearly prices on the new ones are way out compared to BG so what am I missing?

All those numbers are estimates.
When you used Cheap Energy Club, what annual consumption figures did you use?

"estimates" sometimes, they are reasonably accurate, but most of the times "cotton on the eyes" to confuse you and everyone.
I personally always check, by the actual usage (existing bills) and tariff (rates) of each supplier directly… and I screenshot EVERYTHING, save it in to a folder for every single supplier change (almost yearly)…

When I went through the form it said it knows my usage based on my address so I used the default

But was that the same pair of numbers that British Gas used in their calculations? You'll probably find BG's estimates on your latest bill.
If they were different, you can't compare them.
