Churchill Insurance have lost the plot

On the 4th of May 2026 I had a letter from Churchill (Car Insurance) saying that they could no longer insure me, together with a letter showing proof on no claims, so I got insurance from with the RAC instead.

And then a couple of days ago I received a letter dated 30th of May saying "Your car insurance will automatically renew on the 30th of May", the same day they sent the letter out!!!

I had to call Churchill to get my money back, while struggling to understand the woman at the other end who had a heavy accent (I can't believe companies are still using these call centers).

Someone at Churchill needs sacking. I have put this on this forum just so other people are aware of what might happen if they get a refusal to renew letter.

Using what call centres?

Churchills are all UK based? Did visit one of their call centres and had the unfortunate luck of listening in to a racist calling in and insisting on being transferred to "England" despite the fact that the agent and I were both sitting in England. I say unfortunately, she has to put up with it every day.

Well that's a lie for a start. She told me she was working from a Hotel in India. Saying someone has a heavy accent is NOT racist. When I was in America I had to talk to the help desk of an American phone provider. She could not understand me because to her I had a heavy English accent. Does that make her a racist? Stop being an idiot. I'm trying to help people. You are projecting your own insecurities on to me. MSE forum is supposed to me about helping people and not about people gate-keeping society.
