Kent speeding ticket

Oops, OH has somehow managed the impossible, speeding on the approach to the Dartford tunnel. 58 in a 50mph zone. Not enough traffic holdups.

He's been online and filled in all his details, but hasn't received any acknowledgement he has done so. He's tried logging back in to check, but the system won't let him in now. Does that mean they've got the details they require?

How long since he named himself? Usually it takes a week or so for the police to make offer to dispose of the offence instead of taking it to court.

First, are you saying he nominated himself online as the driver?

Note that some constabularies do not allow drivers to nominate themselves online - they can nominate third parties online but can only nominate themselves by signing a hard copy of the s172 form and returning it by post.

Second, my local constabulary does allow drivers to nominate themselves online, and when I did that couple of years ago I got an acknowledgement by email within 10 seconds, quoting my NIP reference number and giving a receipt number.

If your OH nominated himself online he might want to chack his email (and spam) and if nothing there I'd suggest he should query it now. No point leaving it.

Yes he nominated himself online as the driver, but has not received any acknowledgement (checked spam), and if he/I tries to log into their website again using the details they supplied, it doesn't login. Will email them.
