Car Insurance Renewal Quotes
Hi there,
Long story short, last year I moved to a house and took on a Tesla Model 3 on a lease with Arval, I have EU driving license and my wife as well as she is the second driver of the car and it was our first time getting insured on a car in the UK so the quote we had from Admiral (with their black box) through Confused.com (the cheapest we found out of the other comparison sites at that time) was around £1600.
I have received an email from Confused.com about renewal quotes and I got £1120 and we are 28 days away from renewal.
Sweet spot according to MSE is around 25 days away from renewal knowing that I haven't received the renewal offer from Admiral.
Shall I wait for better offers around 25 days or should I take the renewal offer ?
I'm not sure of what to do, I don't want to miss out on the offer or on potential better offers …
Thanks a lot!!

Admiral quote me 21 days prior to renewal date.
Your present quote(s) how long are they held for?

I shopped around a bit today and noticed that I have one quote from Moneysupermarket.com ending in 4h (with Hastings Direct + black box, in every comparison sites, this is the provider I get as best quote) and the second one ending in 28 days with Direct Line Essentials with a good price as well still around £1120.

What difference would a UK driving licence make? Can you qualify for one?
I think you might be better talking to a broker.

I have no idea, insurance with EU driving license still works while probably more expensive as we are probably considered as "new drivers" while we hold driving license for nearly 20 years and we have been driving in the UK regularly before getting the car (with my previous French car and rented cars).
I think we can qualify for UK driving license but it might be too late anyway for the upcoming renewal.
Do you have a broker to recommend we could talk to so we could have an idea if it's worth doing it in the future?
Thanks a lot for your suggestions!

No sorry, I haven't used a broker for years but Google will dig out some appropriate ones.
These guys might be a good place to start, from what you say you have plenty of time.
These guys might be a good place to start (I know nothing about them)

Most brokers are non-advisory in mass market consumer, they just plug your details into a system little different to confused.com and just tell you the best price that comes back from their Panel. Indeed a lot of the people one confused.com are brokers.
