I there a way to find out what the maximum housing benifit allowances are. is there a chart for each region?

For private rental it's the Local Housing Allowance

The actual allowance a person is entitled to depends on their circumstances too, that's what dictates how many bedrooms

Remember that the LHA only apllies to Private Rentals.

I your rental is a Social Rental then LHA does not apply and the full rent (and certain service charges) can be paid, but the Under-occupancy charge (Bedroom Tax) may apply instead.

Then depending on just what else is being claimed for the Benefits Cap may also apply in high rent areas.
